The present document provides an overview of the abstract data model of the BirthCertificate attribute based on [CEN/TS 17489-2].

Definition of Terms, Abbreviations and Notational Conventions

For the purpose of the present document, the terms and definitions, abbreviations and notational conventions used within the eIDAS Semantic Task Force apply.

1. Introduction and Overview

The present document specifies the abstract data model of the BirthCertificate attribute based on [CEN/TS 17489-2]. This attribute is among the 'Minimum List of Attributes' according to [(EU) No. 910/2014] (Annex VI) in the category 'Civil Status' and can also be used in procedures according to [(EU) 2018/1724] (Annex II).

2. Data Model Overview

The present data model has been created based on [CEN/TS 17489-2] while keeping the SEMIC Style Guide in mind.

BirthCertificate

As outlined in the above figure, it contains the main classBirthCertificate, which is defined using the following auxilliary classes:

  • AdditionalNames
  • Child
  • CompleteName
  • DomesticInformation
  • GenericName
  • IdentifcationNumber
  • Name
  • Parent
  • Person

3. Complete Data Model Specification

The complete data model specification including schema distributions in [JSON Schema] and XML-Schema [W3C XSD-1, W3C XSD-2] is available to members of the eIDAS Semantic Task Force.
